Youth Day 2012: Getting Involved.

How You Can Help
Youth Day is a community project designed to celebrate the talents of our youth. You can help with Youth Day by donating your time, money, and/or resources.
In donating your time, you can volunteer or participate in the event. In donating your money you can financially support this event and allow youth a forum to express their talents. Every dollar makes just as much as a difference as every minute of time that you give, the same is for your resources. If you own a business  or are apart of an organization that can resourcefully befit Youth Day, then feel free to do so.
If you ever want to support Youth Day in any way, please contact the Youth Day Committee at: youthdayproject@gmail.com.

Originally celebrating the anniversary of TYR, Youth Day gives back to the community celebrating not only TYR's anniversary but also all kinds of artistic youth talent. Being better than the last, Youth Day generally consists of many activities for youth 5 years old and older from the original Hip Hop Musical Chairs, Freestyling Competitions, Video Game Competitions, and much much more. In addition to all the festivities, there are prizes, free food, performances, and talents from places in your own community you would never expect. All from 11AM to 6PM coming to a city near you.
Youth Day not in your city when it should be, contact one of the members of the Youth Day Committee, post on the wall of Youth Day on Facebook or message Youth Day on Reverb Nation.

Volunteering

To be a volunteer in such and harness such a great opportunity, there is a short online application one must fill out. The selection process for high school students is rigorous due to the increasing need for community service to graduate. High school students who wish to apply must fill out an application which is available online, and then, from there, wait to be contacted for acceptance. For those who are beyond high school, they must fill out an online application as well and then and also wait to be contact. The difference between the high school volunteer and post-high school volunteer's acceptance process is that the post-high school volunteer is selected on a first come first serve basis, while the high school volunteer is accepted on a more selective basis.
All applications submitted beyond the deadline will be rolled over to the volunteer list for the following year.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship comes in two different forms. The first most immediate form is donation, where a person, organization, or business donates an amount of money to the Youth Day project. In this there is a short online form to fill out that will allow us to make one's donation tax deductible as well as anonymous if one chooses in addition to receiving a receipt for one's donation. If one does not have the financial means to donate their desired amount, it is recommended to give what ever one can. And if one feels that that is not enough, then there is always the second option for sponsoring; fundraising. In fundraising there is also an online form to fill out of that allows the Youth Day Committee to certify fundraisers as Youth Day approved and supported. Once the form is filled out, the fundraiser will be contacted for approval. Both forms of sponsorship result in making an incredible difference in you community a dollar at a time, or even more so if one pleases.
Please contact the Youth Day Project for all donations.
