Youth Day was founded by the president of TYR, however it is not a TYR event. Youth Day is a youth and community based project that is specified to its specific location. In order to create such a project of this nature, a committee is constructed with members of local community. Also because Youth Day is a youth based project, at least 50% of the committee is always youth around and under the age of 18. Some may say that we set these guidelines just to fill seats in our committee and expand quicker, but truthfully, we believe that Youth organizations, events, projects, etc. are more effective when you have a high amount of youth input.
