Nollysha Canteen: Assistant Director

Hidden jewel with an early start to community outreach and development in New Haven, Connecticut, Nollysha Canteen maintains an honors GPA while volunteering and standing as a role model for others in her community. She has spent her high school years mainly as a member of her school's JROTC. In being apart of this program she has been able both learn, demonstrate, teach discipline while carrying out many different responsibilities to participate in various other community programs such the Agency for the Aging and the Red Cross Blood Drive.
But this is not the only thing that she has been involved in, Nollysha has also been a member of the Girl Scouts since September of 2009. In her most recent endeavors: she has made changes in the New Haven Public School system by talking to principals government officials as a student leader of Youth UnleashED, she has incorporated her poetic talents into youth activism as a member of The Youth Revolution, and she has assisted in political campaigns in efforts to better different neighborhoods in New Haven, Connecticut and eventually the world as a member of the
Young Communist League;  surprisingly, even this is not enough for her.
In efforts to make an even bigger change, Nollysha harnesses her poetic talents and work experience as a teaching assistant in the Day Dream Theatre of the Arts becoming a Board of Director of The Youth Revolution and a member the Youth Day Committee.

Her academic excellence and poetic talents in addition to desires to better her community never ceases to amaze the world. She prospers, and will always do so making every step of she takes a milestone for a greater good.
